Hi everyone,

My name is Monte Procopio and I am very pleased to be part of the Sinatra - The Main Event. By profession, I am a entertainer and have been for over 20 years. I am located in the Phoenix AZ area and play venues in Arizona, California, Nevada. I work with groups as small as myself and a pianist, all the way up to a Big Band. For the year 2002, I was selected by the Arizona Republic newspaper as the "Best Male Vocalist". I have worked with stars that include Carol Channing, Alan King, Vikki Carr, and Phyllis Diller. I grew up in Pennsylvania with a father who was a huge music collector and a Sinatra lover. My dad liked all the great pop vocalists of the 40's, 50's, 60's; i.e. Sinatra, Bennett, Como, Crosby, Martino, Damone, Humperdinck, Williams, Vale, Nat Cole as well as numerous female vocalists. I am 42 years old and for the better part of that time I have been singing songs from the Great American Songbook and working on capturing the special something that a singer must have to be able do justice to the wonderful melodies, lyrics, and also the memories that people have associated with these timeless classics.

I have recently released my newest CD titled "Monte Procopio Swingin' With Style". It was recorded using an All Star 13 piece band, swinging arrangements, and it includes songs such as I've Got You Under My Skin, Come Fly With Me, Unforgettable, When I Fall In Love, One for My Baby and 10 more classics. It was released on 2-20-2004 and is being well received. I feel it is important for music lovers to know that this CD was not done because of the recent interest in the Great American Songbook driven by Bublé, Connick, Rod Stewart and others. This album has been a work in progress for me since I sang "Strangers In The Night" in front of my 3rd grade classmates. I am not jumping on the band wagon, I have been on the band wagon from the first moment

Hi alex, I have never had the pleasure of seeing Mr. Sinatra in concert. The one time he was in Phoenix AZ, I also had a gig and missed him. My mother and father have seen him twice back in the early 70's at a place called the Latin Casino in New Jersey USA. I was to young then. I did see his son Frank Sinatra Jr. in Vegas at the Desert Inn. He was great and his band was tremendous. My dad told me that when they were waiting for Mr. Sinatra to start his performance there was so much electricity in the air that you could cut it with a knife. Thanks for the welcome.
